This was a six-shot percussion revolver with a concealed horizontal striker. It had a detachable rammer/screwdriver and nipple key that pivoted under the barrel. Harvey revolvers are marked HARVEY'S PATENT BREECH LOADING REVOLVING PATENT 4033. The guns were designed by William John Harvey who was granted a patent covering the rammer system on the 26th of May 1853 and the 11th of December 1854.
