ROF machine-pistol
This
experimental 9mm machine-pistol was developed in about 1946 at ROF
Fazakerley. It was a blowback-operated, selective-fire gun designed to
be fired from one hand. The design can be considered to be a
miniaturized version of the ROFSTEN submachine gun, including a similar
cocking latch protruding from the end cap of the receiver. The gun could
feed from standard 32-round Sten magazines, but was probably intended to
take shorter magazines. Only one prototype sample of the ROF
machine-pistol was ever made, and it was never considered for adoption.
